In Genesis 14, Abram gets ambushed by an offer that sounds generous but isn’t. The king of Sodom tries to buy the naming rights to Abram’s rescue — and Abram’s answer is one of the boldest refusals in Scripture: “So you can never say, ‘I made Abram rich.'”
