Series: Unlocking Joy

Book: Philippians

What does your life say about what you believe? Not just your words. Not just your social media posts. But your life—the way you live, the way you suffer, the way you endure, the way you serve. Because whether you realize it or not, your life is preaching a message. The question is: Does it scream the Gospel?

We live in a world drowning in noise—opinions, agendas, self-promotion, distractions. But in the chaos, there should be one message that rises above the rest: the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The problem? Too many Christians are whispering it—if they’re even saying it at all. Paul’s life screamed the Gospel. Everything about him—his priorities, decisions, sacrifices, and suffering—pointed people to Jesus. In Philippians 1:21-30, he lays out five marks of a life that does the same.

Here are the 5 marks of a life that screams the Gospel covered in this sermon:

  • They wrestle with staying or going to be with Jesus. (v21-24)
  • They own their assignment and put in the work. (v24-26)
  • They keep Jesus first and contend for Him. (v27)
  • They ignore the haters and see opposition as confirmation. (v28)
  • They embrace the suffering that comes with Christ. (v29-30)

This isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about living in a way that makes heaven proud and hell nervous. If you’re ready to step up, stand out, and live in a way that leaves no doubt about where you stand—this message is for you.
