Commentary
God’s unchanging nature, also known as immutability, is foundational to our faith. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This unwavering consistency assures us that His promises and His character remain steadfast. Unlike humans who change based on circumstances, God remains eternally constant.

God’s omniscience means He knows everything about us—our actions, thoughts, and words. This perfect knowledge extends beyond our present to our past and future. God’s understanding has no limits, providing us with a comforting assurance that nothing in our lives takes Him by surprise.

God’s sovereignty means He has ultimate authority and power over all creation. Our plans are subject to His will. This doesn’t mean our efforts are futile, but rather that God’s purposes will ultimately stand. His plans are far greater and more perfect than anything we could envision.

Commentary
God’s justice is both a warning and a promise. For the Israelites in exile, it meant deliverance through King Cyrus. For us, it serves as a reminder that God will judge according to our response to Him. His justice is an invitation to return to Him and accept His salvation in Jesus Christ.
